Cheryl Levine, PhD, APN, BS, FNP-c, is the Assistant Director for Transplant
Services and Research Outcomes, and serves as a Nurse Practitioner at the
Hepatitis Clinic, all at the Liver Institute at Methodist Dallas in Texas.
She received her BSN at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and
she received her PhD at the University of Texas School of Public Health in
Houston.
Dr. Levine has been involved with numerous organizations, including the
American Association of Critical Care Nurses (Houston Gulf Coast Chapter),
the American Nurses Association, and the National League of Nursing. Dr.
Levine sits on the editorial board for the on-line Journal of Advanced
Nursing Practice. She has been published in numerous journals, such as Hepatology,
American Journal of Critical Care Nursing, and Nursing Research. Dr. Levine
has presented at various meetings around the country on viral hepatitis.
She has served as Principal Investigator for several funded studies. In 2004,
Dr. Levine was honored with NurseWeek’s Nursing Excellence Award for
Leadership in Nursing.
